SÃO PEDRO VILLAGE

San Vicente – Cape Verde

Water is the unifier of the village which is all around, much like a pile village. This lake completes the beach, creating an extraordinary scenery, with changing light.

The project aims to look out over the sea so as to create a port for fishermen and tourists. Just as in Port Grimaud, near Saint-Tropez in France, the architecture copies the original Cape Verdean style: Creole architecture with a toughened and joyful character.

There is a lot of rock in the walls and floors. The vegetation, protected from the wind by the walls, will be able to bloom in the form of thousands of flowers and suitable trees. The big basin houses a centre which will be the heart of the village boasting shops, offices and various social and sports clubs which allow for the reception and development of a convivial life with a window on the world.

A village of the open sea!
